Output Items

Previous pageReturn to chapter overviewNext page

There are 17 output items, namely

1.Crack width, mm

2.Relative vertical movement, mm

3.Stiffness Ee, MPa

4.Stress Sts, MPa

5.HV axles n, million

6.Total E80, million

7.Curl, m

8.Deflection, mm

9.Crack spacing X, m

10.Void, m

11.Shattered SH, %

12.Pumping PU, %

13.Faulting FA, %

14.Construction cost, COST/m2

15.Present worth of rehabilitation cost, R/m2

16.Life cost, R/m2

17.International Roughness Index (IRI), m/km

After a completed simulation run, average values and the standard deviations of these 17 output items appear in a table on the Facts Page.

Six of the output items are called decision variables, namely:

9. Crack spacing X, m

11. Shattered SH, %

12. Pumping PU, %

13. Faulting FA, %

16. Life cost LC, R/m2, and

17. International Roughness Index (IRI).

Note: Crack spacing rather than faulting is applicable to the continuously reinforced (CR) and Ultra-thin Continuously Reinforced (UT) concrete pavements.

Apart from being displayed in a tabular form on the Facts Page, the magnitudes of the decision variables are also displayed by the respective gauges on the Control Page, except for IRI.

All output items are listed in a table on the What-If Page, to facilitate the study of relations between pairs of input and output items.
